Congress has two weeks to decide what to do about #telehealth rules under Medicare.

Our members recently published findings about trends in total office visits - virtual and in-person - under traditional Medicare since those rules became more flexible in spring 2020: ihpi.umich.edu/news-events/...
With telehealth coverage on the brink, study shows it hasn’t driven up total visits
Data from 60 million Medicare participants shows even in medical specialties that use virtual care most, total number of visits was stable or declined through mid-2024

Before he came to @umich.edu, our member and U-M Injury Prevention Center director Douglas Wiebe did several studies of "stand your ground" firearm laws and fatalities. This new @csmonitor.bsky.social story cites them: www.csmonitor.com/USA/Society/...
As stand-your-ground laws expand, so do firearm fatalities
After 20 years of stand-your-ground laws, spreading to most U.S. states, experts see an accompanying rise in shooting deaths. South Carolina offers a lens on the issue.
