New paper out in @imagingneurosci.bsky.social! 🎉 We found that baclofen, a GABAB receptor agonist, leads to impairments in motor learning in healthy people and blunting of the expected GABA decrease during learning @oxcin.bsky.social @mrcbndu.ox.ac.uk @ndcnoxford.bsky.social doi.org/10.1162/IMAG...
Baclofen, a GABAB receptor agonist, impairs motor learning in healthy people and changes inhibitory dynamics in motor areas
Abstract. Inhibition mediated by γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is implicated in motor plasticity and learning, with [GABA] in the motor cortex decreasing during motor learning. However, the causal relati...

Excited to share our latest preprint on connectivity modulation with dual-site tACS! We show that in-phase tACS at 20 Hz can disrupt fMRI connectivity between the primary motor cortices, but also affects connectivity with other motor regions.
