i still struggle to draw faces, but what changed the most is that... well, it feels like i'm faster at figuring out what's not feeling right and what i can do to fix it or analyze it...! even though i don't get it perfect every time it's still a vast improvement :D

if someone tells you to draw through shapes... you should listen to them and do it- it'll change your life 😫 i don't think i took it seriously until watkiss was like "nobody ever draws through their shapes but they SHOULD!" it solves all my problems with figuring out where to put the neck...

this particular neurologist had my patient tonight at work, and wow. i've had to speak to him a few times before, and he just fully emits this aura of being extremely observant, smart, but also friendly and able to crack jokes and... experienced? i imagine that's what dr. loid's like in person...

yesterday i was so stubborn and didn't redraw a face when i really should've just done it,, now the drawing sits there unfinished and i'll redraw it the next time anyways 😭

why does no one ever really draw a downward facing angle? i'm so confused... just want to see something where loid's eyes end up looking super thin because the eyebrows... ugaadhs i don't even know how to describe it, maybe it's a birds eye view or...

today i saw a tweet about imagining hair as 3d and that triggered me to actually consider learning more ways to draw hair *during* my art pieces,, that means my patience for it just increased greatly 😭

so basically, you get your stick and design correct first to be aesthetically pleasing, thinking and visualizing it. avoid symmetry. see your drawing path, don't jump around. then, think about the ellipses in perspective (which i only rarely ever "draw through" - it's a practice method...? not final
