I’m incredibly late to the Dungeon Crawler Carl series by author Matt Dinniman. What a fun & thrilling series! Audible has them all for your listening enjoyment. I started book two “Carl’s Doomsday Scenario” on my drive home from Mom’s this morning. Thankful to my pal Daniel for the recommendation!

Busy day at work with a “treat yo-self” katsu chicken lunch special, followed by cardio, and an espresso martini with Taylor Swift before dinner. Not too shabby for a Thursday.

Super7 reintroducing the Micronauts as part of their ReAction line is almost as exciting as Hasbro reintroducing ROM earlier this year as part of their Legends series. Series 2 includes Force Commander and Microtron.

We finished Alien: Earth last night. Holy cow!!! What a great series! Solid from beginning to end-to-end.

We finished Alien: Earth last night. Holy cow!!! What a great series! Solid from beginning to end-to-end.
We saw Tron: Ares last night in beautiful 3D RPX. Went in wanting to have fun and thoroughly enjoyed it. They sprinkled a few seeds for another film. Hope we don't have to wait 10 plus years for them to green light it.

We finally finished watching the television adaptation of The Wheel of Time. The ending left me feeling... unsatisfied. I want to know more about these characters and their fates, but I'm unwilling to read 14+ books to find out. It's not the first time a series has done this. Oh, well. Moving on.

Fully immersed in the Tron Ares soundtrack this morning. My physical copies haven’t shipped yet, but the lossless audio version on streaming platforms still sounds great! It feels both modern, yet retro with w couple takes that take me back to the original movie! Bravo, Nine Inch Nails!

It feels rather awkward when a faceless profile with no media likes a ton of my posts, adds smooch faces, hearts, and then says “write me” on a post. Yeah, that’s not happening. I will block you if you’re going to do something like that.

My week was bananas! Emotional health and physical health go hand-in-hand, so I've been working on my fitness despite feeling wiped at the end of my workday. Happy Labor Day weekend to all who observe. I'm ready for three days of stuff and things, my chosen fam, and a certain pug. Y'all take care! 😘

Our pug Benjamin had a dental Friday. His veterinarian extracted fifteen teeth while he was out. He’s such a trooper! Dental chews and enzyme toothpaste can’t effectively combat genetics. We’ll double our efforts, but I don’t know if we can save his remaining teeth. Time will tell. Love this boy!

Smashing Pumpkins Machina | the machines of God 25th anniversary reissue. Machina has been remastered and pressed is on two 12” 33 RPM 180g black vinyl records. I’ve waited so long to own this album on vinyl. It might not be your favorite Pumpkins album, but it definitely is mine.

My new pet peeve since returning to the gym: People who talk or FaceTime on their phones and/or watch videos on their phone while doing cardio without headphones. I can’t imagine that anyone else wants to hear your YouTube videos are both sides of the conversation you have on speakerphone.

I trimmed up the beard a bit this morning after my morning routine. I tried to clean up the ends without getting it too short. Had a good weekend here. We really didn’t go anywhere outside of grocery shopping, Starbucks and the gym, opting to spend time in the backyard and taking care of housework.

I spent a considerable amount of time in our friends’ swimming pool over the long Juneteenth weekend. I noticed that my knee pain all but disappeared and has only recently started to hurt again. I really need to get my ass back to the gym and utilize their pool. If only we had a our own at home. 😉
