Tom rips; the Statue edits are always super entertaining, even if you’ve only skated DC once and got a little too stoned before having your board shoot into a fountain by the National Archive

The last Vans skateboarding employee setting up a multi-tiered seafood tower (carved from a massive block of ice) on the first step of Wallenberg. Curren’s going for sw tre over, and then this guy will hand over a bottle of ‘08 Etienne Calsac on to saber on the rollaway. Vans paid to close school.

One of these years we’re gonna get a face melting part that, between later-than-ever SOTY campaigns and last-minute attempts at SF proving grounds, will drop in the week after they hand off the trophy. Gonna be because of a delayed flight or music rights or something dumb too.

I sent said guy a politely critical email that circled around “this is why the street skaters are distrustful of this process” a few times. Also, Malmo.
You know, one of the things I will say about this place: I appreciate being able to say how frustrating it is that the skatepark design process is less democratic than it often boasts to be, and probably not having to worry about getting bit in the ass because the wrong person sees it.

More spines! More curved ledges! More over-polished icy concrete that sucks to skate flat on! More THPS skatepark builder-ass crash up derbies! Why would anyone outside of San Francisco want straight, granite ledges? The world needs 8’ transition!

The literary-forward approach is the key to market share. Lurpiv doesn’t have poetry OR a book review, and they’re leaving money on the table.
Ok, so BBS is making trucks now too. Big deal.

Wake me up when one of the truck brands that started in the past half year makes the gamble to start a magazine to sell product.

Then, I guess, offer me a job at said magazine that offers competitive healthcare for a whole family.
