Oh nah, it’s very much like Discord in that the platform is the host and you make a server. Could be a plus or minus depending on what you’re looking for, some might prefer self hosting over trusting a platform.

I’ve been a user on Revolt/Stoat for a few years now and it just pisses me off seeing them bumble around like this over easily fixed stuff. They’re screwing themselves over at a perfect opportunity to gain ground.

Frankly I’m a tad sorry myself, I’m just really done with it always being that when I disagree with something, everyone says that I’m wrong, but when I think something is fine, then suddenly everyone says that I’m wrong. Shit is tense right now, especially with Discord doing what they did today.

Very true, but the ironic part to me is that it’s open source, meaning anyone could fix it, and it’s still not fixed. That’s insane, it’s right there. Anyone could do it.

It’s been months. How do you have broken embeds for months? You’re correct but cmon, I get that the domain name change broke how the client loads images from the server, I think it’s paging the old domain, but how do you have that broken for months???

Being nice never works with these bigger congregations running a service, you have to get the attention by complaining. That’s why Discord is where it is, complacency. If more people bitched we wouldn’t be where we are.

Be better? How DARE you tell me that my genuine complaint with this platform isn’t valid? Who the fuck even are you? Telling me to shut up and just be happy with things how they are, this has been a problem for months, MONTHS, and they never address it.

It’s because of people like you that stuff like Discord’s age verification stuff happens in the first place, unwilling to actually get a damn spine and complain and expect high standards.

Oh I’m sorry, is it suddenly not allowed to criticize a service for straight up not working? Their image embeds haven’t worked for months since they changed the website domain. Oh but when you do I’m sure suddenly it’s constructive criticism. I see people call out services for sucking all the time.
