As a once-avid consumer of post-apocalyptic literature and film, I remember thinking that 2016 news reports felt like the story's opening scenes, describing how we have reached this point of where the story begins. Now, more than ever, I've realized it's true. Survivors will see this time the same.

The time came when I realized who I was mad at regarding the election. It's not his voters—that was to be expected—but the lack of forward-thinking voters who tend to vote blue showing up to the polls. How do we get voters engaged for the midterms?

One of the worst things about living within a capitalist hellscape is the need to keep working and moving forward at times of great strife, as if everything is just fine.

I now regularly hear myself saying out loud, "THAT MUTHA F'KR, again?!"

I thought it was beyond embarrassing to be an American in 2016. I was wrong. It is SO much worse now. How did this happen? HOW are so many humans so cruel and lacking in empathy? May all of his voters get what they voted for.

I am so sickened by 52/53% of white American women. This election was for us. It was our shot to save ourselves and the women we love. Instead, 50+% of you chose proximity to male whiteness instead of bodily autonomy. Shameful.
