Fantastic experience working alongside the wonderful people at PREDICT, and looking forward to further collaborating on exciting projects throughout 2026!
Better monitoring of patients with IBD. That is the aim of our new study exploring inflammatory trajectories of patients with IBD. The study has been carried out at the initiative of @edinburgh-uni.bsky.social and just been published in @aga-cgh.bsky.social.

It was a pleasure to present our collaboration with PREDICT at #ECCO2025 last week. We demonstrate subgroups of IBD patients can be characterised by distinct FC and CRP profiles, validated independently in πŸ‡©πŸ‡°. The preprint is available here: doi.org/10.1101/2024...

jetty: Execute R in a 'Docker' Context
The goal of 'jetty' is to execute R functions and code snippets in an isolated R subprocess within a 'Docker' container and return the evaluated results to the local R session. 'jetty' can install…

It is safe to say it is untrue. The only study I could find reporting it to be true was led by Andrew Wakefield (the disgraced former doctor behind the "MMR vaccine cause autism" paper).

It was a pleasure last week to be at @cshlaboratory.bsky.social's Biological Data Science conference where I presented my work clustering faecal calprotectin and CRP for IBD patients treated by NHS Lothian.
