We generate 25% more waste over the holiday season. Help us by sending food scraps to a drop-off site, recycle all of your cardboard boxes in your blue bin, and bring your Christmas tree to one of the Waste and Reuse Convenience Centers or set it out for curbside yard waste collection.

If rate increases are approved, an average customer can expect to pay an extra $36 a month by 2027 if they use American Electric Power of Ohio, Columbia Gas of Ohio and Columbus Water.

This morning, we adopted the @cbusmetroparks.bsky.social 2026 budget. This plan continues to invest in staff, operations, park maintenance, inclusive programs, upgrades to facilities, and land acquisition so that our exceptional park district is able to serve the people of Franklin County.

While it’s wonderful to spend the day being thankful for all the good in our lives, remember that this holiday represents the colonization and genocide of the Indigenous peoples whose land was taken from them as they were forcibly removed and killed.
