💉 Single-syringe TIVA with propofol and remifentanil achieved a pEEG index within the recommended range for adequate hypnosis for 70% of the duration of maintenance of anesthesia and provided adequate sedation and autonomic nervous system control.

💉Dexamethasone use was associated with fewer major complications, a significant reduction in renal failure, and shorter hospital stays. However, in patients >80 years old, its use seemed linked to a potential increase in 30-day mortality.

🦴 Can perioperative analgesic interventions reduce persistent postsurgical after total hip or knee arthroplasty?

🦴 Only few, heterogenous trials reported long-term pain outcomes and none of the meta-analyses suggested an important effect.
