Moreover, the US is undermining its own minimum tax as we speak, as I warned in this new oped. The OECD and its member states should consider that before making any concessions to the US.

Unsurprising but still, a shame.
As I told @senatebudget.bsky.social last year, tax evasion is a crime. And it's not a victimless crime: it hurts those of us who play by the rules, leading to ballooning budget deficits, higher taxes, less public investment in health, energy, other shared priorities.
EXCLUSIVE: Federal tax prosecutions fell to their lowest level in decades this year, declining more than 27% from the year before as the Trump administration cut the ranks of attorneys and agents who pursue those cases, a Reuters examination has found.
