Really enjoyed the Scottish BAFTA awards on Sunday.

A brilliant celebration of the strength of Scotland's creative industries.

On Sunday I took my 5 year old to a remembrance service for the first time. She helped me lay the wreath.

A very poignant and lovely ceremony conducted by Pauline Robertson from Newington Trinity Church at the Prestonfield War Memorial on Prestonfield Avenue.

WE WILL REMEMBER THEM

At last week's Labour conference I attended UK Music's packed panel session exploring how music can boost the economy.

Great to take part in the discussion with representatives from the industry, outlining the actions the Labour government is taking to support the creative industries.

A brilliant day in Scotland with @ianmurraymp.bsky.social discussing how our UK Government Spending Review is delivering the largest real terms settlement for Scotland since devolution began.

Edinburgh is a world-leader in AI and I’m delighted that today’s spending review funds this critical national resource.

Thank you to everyone at the university for their advice, help and assistance.

A huge boost for the city, region, Scotland and the UK.

Stunning result and well deserved.

A decent local man who will be a superb ambassador for his constituents.

The SNP candidate tomorrow is a councillor from Cambuslang who lost an election in Rutherglen, sought selection in Shettleston and voted against £8m for Hamilton Town Centre.

Only local champion Davy Russell will stand up for the communities of Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse.

The SNP want to downgrade the Wishaw Neonatal Unit.

Only Davy Russell can beat them tomorrow.

Lots of words about what they can’t do but not a peep from the FM about last week's trade deals that are superb for Scotland, nor a peep about steel in Scotland.

My piece for the Scotsman yesterday.

John Swinney must explain how he'll get Scottish steel plants back in operation
This week has shown there must be no doubt – the UK government is championing international trade with renewed passion and purpose.

Really enjoyed campaigning in Runcorn for the wonderful Karen Shore.

Lots of lovely conversations on the doors.

Such a beautiful day I think we should rename the by-election Suncorn & Helsby.

Karen will be a superb MP.

Great to be in Washington DC today, bringing the best of Scottish business and culture to the USA on our Brand Scotland trade mission.

Thank you to the Edinburgh Tattoo for their first brilliant performance.

Yesterday’s statement rightly placed defence at the heart of our industrial strategy, but of course the public demand personal economic security as much as national security. People across Scotland are impatient for change, and rightly so.

Nearly 1 in 6 young people in Scotland are not in education, employment or training.

1,351 young people left school last year with no qualifications.

We cannot shrug our shoulders. We owe it to young people to do all we can to get them on a pathway to work and in life.

These are uncertain times for the world. Last week marked the third anniversary of Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine. The old assumptions that have for decades underpinned our security and that of our European neighbours are crumbling around us.

When you have a government led by a professional, respected and determined PM who puts the country first at home and abroad, it's the UK public that wins.

There's huge challenges at home and abroad but whether it's the economy, national security or health the PM has shown incredible leadership 👏

On Tuesday, the Prime Minister set out the biggest sustained increase in defence spending since the Cold War. This commitment will protect British people in what is a new era for national security, a new era of intensifying geopolitical competition and conflict.
