Absolute downpour at King's Cross at half five, but it wasn't dampening the spirits of a bunch of Geordies, average age about 20, singing and dancing across the road making their way to the Spurs ground. Conforming to stereotype, just in their club shirts, not a jumper or coat between them.

It was OK, if a little slow. The lad playing Piggy was terrific though.
The girl is doing Lord of the Flies for her GCSEs so tonight we're making her watch some, shock, horror, linear TV. She was genuinely shocked when we told her this adaptation is over four episodes as well. 'Why isn't it just a film?'

I thought there wasn't supposed to be a flypast at the Superbowl because Trump huffily cancelled it but hopefully he's watching and angrily stomping about after the flypast that just happened.

So on Twitter ages ago I said there would be a Rana ad sequel where the son in law ends up in bed with his mother in law as neither of them can disclose the secret of their delicious pasta. The story has moved on, admittedly not yet to the conclusion I thought, but who knows in the future 3rd ad.

Making a chili tonight and it was slightly too spicy so I squeezed a quarter of a lime into it and it has made all the difference
