The singing of ‘flower of Scotland’ was the high point of the first 9 minutes of the game for Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿.
Rest of it has been pish.

Summer Leys this lunchtime.
Pintail, 12+ Pochard and a Green Sand.
Got a little bit excited with a big pale looking Meadow pipit, but it was just a Mipit.

The lottery winners from last night in Oxford.
10th time we’ve seen them, and now they’re doing stadiums.
Like watching your kids grow up.

First time in over a year I’ve been pant wettingly soaked at work.
Thankful for the blessed rain, but I’m definitely getting too old for working in the rain.

England fans, up your origami skills ffs.
You’ve got the opportunity to make a fully animatronic Pterodactyl during the 2nd half.

Jet black squirrels sounds like a cool band name.
They’re still running amok in Shefford though, 17 years since I first saw them.

No Woodlark today in the fields near Shefford. 25 Skylarks, 10 Red Kite and a decent view of South Bedfordshire from the top of the ridge #bedsbirds #ukbirding
November 12, 2025 at 2:33 PM
So after yesterday’s Woodlark, my Bedfordshire list has got 4 birds that my home county of Northants list hasn’t.
Pend Tit, Little Bunting, Marsh Warbler and Woodlark.
Best find a few of them to get some balance to the force #bedsbirds #northantsbirds #ukbirding

Waiting for m’collegue to go to the tip. Little walk round the back of Shefford. Bird flew above my head calling an odd lark like call, no tail , undulating flight. OMFG a Woodlark in deepest darkest Bedfordshire.
Saw it on the deck briefly, still calling.
What a result 🎉🥳 #ukbirding #bedsbirds

Last time I saw a British Golden Eagle, Caper 1994, Ptarmigan ‘91. Sub Alp ‘87.
Barred Warbler ‘92!
It’s a horror show.
