Dear @antonygreenelec.bsky.social, a follow up - Therefore do my 1st 6 votes have full 1 vote value before the count starts discounting each as a preferential vote. Where as if i vote below the line I direct where my first 6 to who I choose. Surely preferential voting should start with my 7th vote?

Dear @antonygreenelec.bsky.social , a technical question that google has not answered.With senate elections where we vote for 6 (sometimes12) senators; If I vote above the line do my first 6 votes go to that party and therefore whoever they put in #1 for their share of the quota?. Cheers Ian

When Australia voted Morrison out media seemed to focus on the losing LNP. Now they are doing it again! Why is there not more coverage on where the Labor government will head, what they will achieve? Forget the irrelevant losers.
