Was asked to paint a dragon for a friend. Her husband was in a motorcycle accident and is recovering. I have to say, I don't think I did too bad.

Now that she is a bit older, I felt that it was time to give Cardinia, our Pink-bellied Sideneck, a lot more room to swim and explore. If she needs some help, she also does have a rock structure (right side) that she can climb up onto to get a breath or even bask if she wants.

I really like how this white dragon wyrmling turned out. Though painting the actual dragon is kinda... boring, I guess, I found that bringing out the textures on the base and in the small, frozen horde really brought it to life.

There's nothing better than bringing in new animals, and having them be comfortable enough in their new enclosure to eat right away. The Antony's Poison Arrow Frogs are very happy in their new enclosure.

Finished up this pair of Gricks for a session. I love these weird critters, they remind me of the Graboids from Tremors.

An important part of reptile care is regular weighing, especially for growing animals. Today, we weighed Cardinia, our Pink-bellied sideneck. Back on August 23, she weighed only 9 grams. On October 31, she weighed 27 grams!

Made this little Mimic Dice Box out of some oven-bake clay and a small chest I've had sitting around for over a decade.

I was really happy to paint a barrel mimic for Halloween.

Painted this little Gold Dragon Wyrmling. I love how the plume of fire turned out.

Painted another Red Dragon Wyrmling using a bit of a different technique than that I used previously. I really like this one.

Found this Eastern Box Turtle on a walk yesterday. One of my favorites of our native turtle species.

Quite pleased with how this green dragon turned out. It's been a while since I've painted a dragon, and this was really fun.

We had our first educational display at a wildlife park! Almost everyone really enjoyed the critters. I'm still working out the kinks for displays like this, but this was a good test run.

I've published an article on the cutest new little dinosaur, the amazing Zavacephale... www.discoverwildlife.com/dinosaurs/za...
Exquisite dome-headed dinosaur unearthed in Mongolian desert is oldest ever found | Discover Wildlife
The skull of the newly described dinosaur species was found “exposed on a cliff like a cabochon jewel” in the Eastern Gobi Desert.

Allosaurus is one of my favorite theropods, & one of my favorite dinosaurs. Having a replica one of the manus claws for educational work is great. Looking for other Allosaurus replicas, & I might get one of the Allosaurus figures from Beasts of the Mesozoic to go along with it.

Finally got the last specimens for the display I'm putting together. Got these Pleistocene Epoch-aged fossil turtle shell fragments from PaleoCris. These are my most recent fossils in terms of age, and my first turtle fossils.

Ordered and received a very nice Borealosuchus sternbergii tooth from @mesozoic.bsky.social. Took a bit of time to receive, but that was more the fault of the postal service than anything. The price was very reasonable, and I think I would absolutely recommend them.

Ordered some fossils from FossilEra for an educational display. They showed up very quickly, but there was a small mistake in that they gave me the wrong information card for the fossil croc teeth. Not a huge deal, since the correct fossils showed up and I can make my own card.

Acrocanthosaurus is one of my favorite large carcharosontosaurids. I have a cast of both one of the foot (top) and hand (bottom) claws, which really put how big this animal really was into perspective.

Recently got in some fossils for a temporary museum-type display I'll be putting together at a zoo.
