On one of our little dog walks, we passed a house that was obviously having a clear out, and they had a skip (a dumpster for you folks over the pond) outside. In it, on top of all the bin bags and junk, was this weird looking painting that's either cursed, haunted or both!

One from the vaults! Despite the name, Konga is not a British retelling of King Kong - rather it’s the story of an obsessive scientist played by the legendary Michael Gough who enhances an ape to eliminate his enemies, and Konga only grows to giant size in the last act.

One from the vaults! 1961 brought another titanic amphibious kaiju to London, the mighty Gorgo! Often dubbed the British Godzilla, this monster movie is really closer to King Kong, but also packs a plot twist pinched by later Godzilla and Gamera movies!

This morning in two statements.
1) What I supposed to be doing - recording an episode on Welcome to Derry
2) What I've actually done - remixed "A Smile and Ribbon" by Patience and Prudence with unfeasible amounts of delay, reverb and phasing...

One from the vaults! 1958 produced a little independent movie called Fiend Without A Face. For most of the film the monsters are invisible but they are revealed in the last act, tentacled brains with spinal cord tails, and are despatched in a surprisingly gory fashion!
