-Make the trail do 15 damage. I honestly think that’s it. Every dart weapon except Slosher, Pro, and Gal would significantly benefit from just a 15 damage tripwire

I chose to have mist restrict your end lag instead (and keep the ink recovery nerfs) because it effectively slows the enemy down not in physical movement but in how much they’re able to affect the game. It would have the same overall goal as toxic mist, but uses a different method to get there

I really don’t want Toxic Mist to restrict movement. Enemy ink does the same thing and does it in a way that you can counteract. Not to mention that movement is IMO the core of this game and what makes it fun. Having a sub that totally restricts movement is simply awful game design.

Actually, keep the lower paint cycles and disappearing on death. Those functions incentivize you to repeatedly use your sprinkler, which you should be doing. Sprinkler really just lacks any positive reinforcement from doing so. Giving it damage and thus area control should work as that incentive

Alright, I think that’s all the sub buffs I want to happen. As you can see, I really just wanted to give most of them an extra dimension to what they can do, since often times there’s just another sub out there that does what they do but with more versatility

- Make it paint the floor

Toxic Mist:
This is going to be the most significant rework because mist is terribly designed.
-Completely scrap everything mist does currently
-Enemies affected by must have reduced ink recovery and increased end lag on shots
-Maybe make mist hit box bigger or last a second after you leave it?

Curling Bomb:
-Make cooked curling bombs charge faster
-Increase the damage radius
With curling you really gotta make it compete with Fizzy, and I think the most interesting way to do that is to make the actual bomb part more relevant. It would add a lot more depth to a sub that needs it

Starting with sprinkler:

-Make it do threatening damage in the painting radius, almost like a mini ink storm

I was inspired by the CharaVodDump video asking for more drastic buffs, and I figured I’d take the opportunity to share my ideas for sub weapon buffs, because IMO subs would be the most impactful thing to buff in this game #compsplatoon (1/?)
