It's a standalone, the show's heart is in its grounded relationships, and Josh Gad plays Olaf in the club. If you're not watching Wonder Man, you're missing out:

Absolutely loving Wonder Man. It's up there with Loki. Sir Ben Kingsley is obviously having an absolute blast playing Trevor Slattery again. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is great.

Marvel content always shines when they focus on the characters and everything fantastical is just the context to explore them.

Discovered that Phantasm I - IV are on Amazon Prime over the weekend. The spheres are nowhere near as scary as I remember - I must have conflated them with knife missiles from The Culture. A reboot with a more cosmic horror vibe could be really good.

I was actually really impressed with the Star Trek: Starfleet Academy pilot. It did all the things a pilot should do (but most really don't), and it did them really well. I like that they've maintained some of the Lower Decks humour. Really looking forward to seeing Ep 2 tonight.
