Love me some Rich Hill. 3.32 ERA for AAA Kansas City team and topping out at 91! For reference in his brief stint with Boston last year he averaged 86.

This is the worst I’ve ever seen the Red Sox look the last 20 years. The last place teams had more fight and drive than this.

This Raffy situation is super strange. 99% of players would be jumping at the chance, and we’d here something to the affect of, “anything I can do to help the team.” Just feels like a strange attitude from him.

How long can they keep hitting Duran and Devers 1-2? At some point Campbell will be 2 with everyone pushed back, or Bregman and Devers will flip spots. Teams are consistently bringing in lefties to face them which hurts the team. I can’t believe it will be to much longer

All offseason I’ve been wondering when Trevor Story will get DFA’d or traded this year. But honestly I’m kind of excited to have him be an above average infielder on the bench.

The thing about these long term contracts for 1st year players is this: I believe baseball thrives when players play for the same team for long periods of time.

Now it makes sense why they signed Verdugo, and why he agreed to start the year in the minors. Must have been just waiting for the appeal to be done.

So 4 runs isn’t great. But 1.000 BABIP isn’t something you can do much about. I actually think Newcomb looks okay so far.
