Immigration Enforcement raided two takeaways in Hull on Friday night, but thanks to our community-building we were able to intervene and nobody was detained.

We have ICE in the UK. They do everything ICE in America did up till a few months ago, and if you think what ICE is now doing in America can't happen here I have a bridge to sell you.

And no – they're not regular police. They work directly for the Home Office.

Immigration Compliance and Enforcement (ICE) raids are more common than you may think.
Did you know? There were 70 immigration raids in Hull between April 2023 and July 2024. That's an average of one raid every five days.

Hello, Hull 👋 We are a new grassroots group, starting 2025 by building community resistance against immigration raids in Hull.
The front and back of a bust card advising what to do in an immigration raid. If officers come to your home or work: you do not have to answer any questions; you do not have to let them in - they can only enter with your consent, a warrant or assistant director's letter; try to leave if you are not under arrest. Don't stop and talk - just go. Contact hullantiraids@proton.me See a raid? Don't walk by, we can resist raids together. Make sure people know they don't have to answer any questions and can leave. If they want to leave, walk away with them. Film immigration officers and police. If someone is being detained, check with them first or only film officers. Challenge the officers - why are they questioning specific people. Tell people around you what's happening. Call your friends. If someone is detained give them the number for Detention Action: 0800 587 2096
