I’ve had this Laser 128 computer with a damaged keyboard for a couple years with no real hope of repair. Then today I received another slightly damaged keyboard which should allow me to complete repairs!

I just received these three keyboards as surplus items. The one with the suntan is from Japan, while the other two are from the USA. This seems backwards to me, because Apple items made in Japan are usually better at holding their original color. But “ALL SALES FINAL” so there!

I picked up this iPad 1 at a yard sale for $5. It came in a leather keyboard case but without a charge cable. It didn’t do anything when I plugged it in, but about a half hour later I got this on the screen when I was about to give up!

I just got this cool little RAM tester. It’s a simple unit for testing 4116, 4132, 4164, and 41256 DRAM chips — which is perfect for most Apple II computers and others like C64, Atari, TI, etc. (Now I just need to find my box of suspect chips so I can test them!)

My front left turn signal stopped working, so I went to the store and bought a bulb. Then I opened the hood and found the plug for the left lamp assembly looking like this. I’m surprised the headlight still worked!

Today’s purchase: an Apple //c which includes the original box! It will need some retrobright to make it perfect, but it’s one of the late AS4000 models with an Alps keyboard, so that’s nice.
