Our first Sanderson book!
The Frugal Wizard's Handbook for Surviving Medieval England was a blast! The story pulls you in quickly & the premise is a neat twist on popular tropes. Pacing was a bit end-heavy, but Pixy and I didn't mind because it was so fun.

Day 2/3 of our Dungeons and Dragons Fortune cards for 4th edition. Packs seem to have one card w/ full art; about half the pack are tactics cards & the other half is split b/w attack & defense cards.

Ooo, these look fun!
Apparently they are for Dungeons and Dragons 4th edition and you draw actions/special abilities from them to use in dungeons/combat.
I wonder how adaptable they are for other versions? I'm going to open one each day for the next few days and we'll see!

Pixy and I just rewatched The Darkest Hour (2017) and Gary Oldman freaking slayed the role of Winston Churchill.
The music is great, the acting is on point, the sets and costuming are beautiful.
I'm no film critic (or historian) but I think it's one of the best historical biopics I have ever seen.
