Married. Canadian.

Won't follow you back if you have a "show me your tits" profile pic.

TRUMP supporters stay away.

Astronomy, news, writing, photos (not very serious). Enjoy reading thoughtful posts even if I don't completely agree with 'em.

Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.

An elderly president, diminish capacity, possibly under Russian influence, we have a BIG issue.

What a sad and disturbing commentary on those who are currently running the United States.

I hope, in the upcoming mid-term elections (assuming they are held and conducted fairly), the American Public will take this opportunity to, "take out the trash".

So Trump is now complaining about "Canada refusing to certify Gulfstream aircraft".

So, as usual, he is factually wrong.

The 500 & 600 are certified. The 700 was in 2024. The FAA only recently certified the 800.

Trump assumes everyone else thinks the way he thinks. 🙄

Air Travel chaos, anyone?

Leave it to Donald Trump to find a great way to undermine the Republican Cuban-American vote in Florida.
I guess they are dead set against anyone coming into the U.S. from any country. Top marks for 'consistency' I guess.

How horrible. And the government just comes out with an explanation that makes no sense.

Someone died by asphyxiation, yet the U.S. government wants you to believe the fellow asphyxiated himself. 😡

Donald Dick-Head Trump announcement:

To Detroit auto workers, he said he wasn't thinking about USMCA (NAFTA) because the U.S. "doesn't need anything from Canada or Mexico".

Last week he called Cdn PM Carney and demanded a guarenteed supply of uranium at below market rates.🙄

Carney said "No."👍

This may only interest Canadians.

a) Trump seeks to get oil from Venezuela.
b) Trump wants to annex Greenland (rare earth minerals).
c) U.S. has/might get both from Canada.

So is Trump doing this in preparation for shutting down the Canadian economy?🤔

Or do you think he can plan all that?

Here's an interesting one to think about.

In late 1941, in the interests of "NATIONAL SECURITY", the Empire of Japan decided that it had to eliminate the U.S. Pacific Fleet stationed in Hawaii.

Just say "NATIONAL SECURITY" and you can justify anything, right? 🙄

Trump does not believe in following any rules, regulations or laws.

So he just launched an attack on Venezuela, probably without consulting anyone, including the U.S. Congress.

So, having done this, will he now be accusing Greenland of smuggling drugs into the U.S. ? Or Panama?

Part of the oil was offloaded to another tanker which went to Cuba. The rest was going to China. Maybe Cuba is selling the oil to China for cash?

But now the Trump Regime seems to be negotiating to buy some Venezuelan via China.

And, yup, US has reintroduced 'piracy' on the high seas.

From a NYT article on the U.S. military strikes on 'drug boats' off the coast of Venezuela:

"to ensure survivors did not end up in the U.S. judicial system, where court cases could force the administration to show evidence justifying President Trump’s military campaign in the region."

Here's my test to determine whether or not you are living in an authoritarian state:

The politicians you elect are too busy worrying about what "THE LEADER" thinks, rather than paying attention to what the voters are complaining about.

I was scanning the headlines in the NYT today (Sat.) and isn't this just awful.

And the really awful thing is that likely nothing will be done about any of this.

Business as usual in Washington?

But it is funny. Enjoy.

Wanna know why the U.S. is starting to run up trillion dollar budget deficits every year?

This is most of the reason.

The U.S. economy cannot afford Donald Trump's tax cuts.

Ahhh . . . There is no joy in Mudville.
Blue Jays came so close . . . ike Pickett's Charge briefly breaking the Union line at Gettysburg . . . or Shackleton reaching 87 degrees south latitude and realizing he had to turn back and abandon his quest to reach the south pole

Horrors!

We couldn't get the TV working on our TV despite the fact that we could get all the internet stuff working and the TV signal is working fine on our older TV.

After trying the setup stuff on the TV, I thought, 'Maybe the controller that turns the TV on/off needs new batteries?'

Yup. 🙄

Donald Trump 'cancelled' trade negotiations with Canada + adding 10% to the tariffs he is charging Canada, all over a 1 min ad that rebroadcast Ronald Regean's anti-tariff speech from 1987.

Everyone in Canada is laughing their heads off.

Way more people saw the ad thanks to Trump's reaction.

I had problems recieving e-mails from BlueSky to a new e-mail account I'd set up.

However, the account didn't receive the e-mails.

So I went back to my existing email account and it worked fine.

The only significant difference between the two is the new e-mail contained an "_" character.
