Catena Zapata 2022 Malbec. Absolutely outstanding! I don’t believe I’ve ever tasted a finer Malbec. And the label scores extra points for originality, with Eleanor of Aquitaine and Phylloxera symbolising the birth and death of Malbec in the old world!

We’re off to the Faroe Islands next month for a couple of weeks, but I really want to explore any sites that have a folkloric and/or Viking era connection. Any recommendations on relevant literature I can read, will be much appreciated. Likewise for any lesser known sites to visit.

A few pics from a recent visit to the Medieval Women exhibition at @britishlibrary.bsky.social The star exhibit was the earliest of three surviving examples of Jeanne d’Arcs signature, but there was much else to enjoy here.
