Point #1 is salient for crypto messaging apps too. Discovery is tough to solve when you can’t rely on existing context (e.g., import phone book)
1. Hard to find friends
Without a good import feature I’m literally starting from blank. It was hard to search for friends I know I have.
2. No relevant content to hook me in
My first recommended friends list was all Japanese accounts for some reason. A default newsfeed like Twitter would help

Just dropped by a local lunch spot in SF and the shop owner said, “Thank you so much for coming! It is 4/20 so I thought no one going to work.” Lol. I cackled 😂
