The Seattle City Council added a series of height and density bonuses for stacked flats as they amended Mayor Bruce Harrell's proposed update to the City's Comprehensive Plan in September. The bonuses could create a stacked flat multiplex boom.

Finally, some actual good news. Plymouth Housing is breaking ground on its permanent supportive housing project in Downtown Redmond today, the one that was cancelled in Kenmore and then faced a bunch of appeals after it was approved in Redmond.

Seattle's housing crisis requires bold action. We're thrilled to see the unanimous approval of @councilmember-amr.bsky.social's much-needed Roots to Roofs pilot program by the City Council!
The Seattle City Council just UNANIMOUSLY approved the Roots to Roofs affordability bonus pilot, giving density bonuses to community based orgs, including the Seattle social housing developer. I did not expect a 9-0 vote on this one.

We need to be expanding our boundaries for neighborhood and urban centers, not shrinking them, so we can build more connected, affordable, and accessible neighborhoods!
Joy Hollingsworth has put forward a last-minute amendment to the Comprehensive Plan.

It would restore the original proposed boundaries for the regional/urban centers in central Seattle, putting back the "donut hole" of lower density between Capitol Hill and the Central District.
