If you’ve seen Wolf Creek (2005), then you know exactly why it's an underrated gem. If you enjoyed the tension and remote setting, then here are 11 more movies like Wolf Creek that I think are worth a watch.
11 Must-Watch Horror Movies like ‘Wolf Creek’
If you’ve seen Wolf Creek (2005), then you know exactly why it’s an underrated gem. Set in the desolate Australian outback, the movie follows three backpackers whose road trip turns into a nightmare when they’re captured and tortured by a sadistic local named Mick Taylor. Directed by Greg McLean and loosely inspired by real-life crimes, Wolf Creek blends true crime with survival horror in a way that feels terrifyingly real.

These time-loop horror movies trap characters in cycles they can’t escape, until they figure out the rules or die trying.

Which one’s your favorite? Or did I miss a good one? #HorrorMovies #TimeLoopHorror #ScaryMovies #MovieRecommendations
The Best Time-Loop Horror & Thriller Movies That Will Make Your Head Spin
Time-loop horror movies mess with your mind in a special way other horror films can't. Unlike time travel, where characters can move freely between the past and the future, time-loop horror traps characters in a specific time period, usually 1 day, that they can't seem to escape no matter what they do. The characters are forced to relive the same terrifying moments over and over again until they figure out how to break free.

Presence (2024) is a unique take on the haunted house genre: from the ghost's perspective. While it’s more drama than horror, the mystery makes it worth a watch...until the ending. What are your thoughts? 🎥🍿 #PresenceMovie #HorrorMovies #MovieReview
‘Presence’ Movie Review: haunted house mystery fizzles out by the end
When I first heard about Presence, I was immediately intrigued. A horror movie told entirely from the perspective of a ghost? That's not something you see every day. With Steven Soderbergh directing and Neon handling the release, I had high hopes for a truly unique cinematic experience. And while the film does deliver on its innovative premise, it also left me feeling like something was missing.

The haunted house subgenre is easily one of my all-time favorites. The thought of something sinister lurking in your own home is so genuinely terrifying. What are some of your favorites?

The haunted house subgenre is easily one of my all-time favorites. The thought of something sinister lurking in your own home is so genuinely terrifying. That kind of fear feels so personal, and it’s why I never get tired of these stories. We are days away from the release of Presence (January 24th), a new horror/thriller film about a family experiencing a supernatural phenomenon in their home.

With Leigh Whannel's Wolf Man remake coming this Friday, I've been watching some of the top werewolf horror movies for inspiration. My most recent watch was Howl (2015) which was fun up until the very bad ending. What should I watch next? #horrormovies
14 of the Best Werewolf Horror Movies of All Time
With the recent release of Werewolves (2024) and with Leigh Whannell's Wolf Man remake coming to theaters January 17th, I've been inspired to watch some of the best werewolf horror movies for inspiration. Just like vampires, werewolves have been a big part of film for decades. I think the way they blend cool special effects with campy action and humor is so much fun, and these recent releases prove that the subgenre isn't going away any time soon.
