#Knicks vs. #Pacers ECF Preview (was supposed to be released yesterday)

the Pacers know who they are on offense and are very good at it - the story will be if the Knicks can slow down Indiana's pace and incredible shooting this postseason.
Houston adding one of the greatest scorers the league has seen in KD would do wonders for their offensive efficiency. It would be a pretty great fit especially if they can avoid giving up too much.

However, I do worry some about stunting the growth of younger Rockets players.

Desmond Bane is a really fun fit with the Magic. It is a lot to give up, but absolutely worth it if Orlando is serious about contending, which they should be. They still need more shooting, but this is a big step in the right direction. Interested to see what is next for Memphis.

Trey Murphy would be an exciting swing for a team to take and worth this price. His shooting ability at that size is a real weapon, and he is just scratching the surface with the rest of his game.

Can the Thunder respond yet again?
This is one of many examples of the Thunder taking their lumps in the playoffs, but not letting it cost them the season - most teams take multiple playoff runs to eventually overcome what OKC has gone through
Jalen Williams had shooting troubles in the playoffs, specifically the Nuggets series, but has not let that impact his overall game - he's still an elite defender and creates great looks. And after his response against the Wolves, I'd say he's overcome his playoff shooting woes.

What a performance from Mathurin - he's been cold from 3 this postseason but has still been insanely efficient from 2 and great at getting to the line

Aaron Wiggins saved basketball

Chet is just beginning to scratch the surface of who he can become as a player. So excited to continue to watch his growth through these finals.

Pacers NEED these postseason percentages to hold up to have a chance in the series
Open catch-and-shoot 3P% changes from the regular season to the playoffs for the Pacers and Thunder.

SGA's offensive prowess is much more than just getting to the line. His creation profile speaks for itself, doing nearly all his work unassisted while also opening things up for others. In the playoffs, when teams often need to turn to more iso & PnR, it is a luxury to have someone like SGA

2025 NBA Finals Preview:
Pacers vs. Thunder

Regardless of the small markets and supposed lack of star power (which I completely disagree with), two very fun basketball teams will square off for the title. Indiana's fast-pace(r) offense vs. OKC's destructive, dominant defense

How Pascal is getting it done: he has always been a great transition scorer, but the spot up efficiency has been really high-level as well
June 3, 2025 at 3:47 PM
It would be great to see Trey Murphy on a contender. His 3-point volume and efficiency at his size is extremely valuable, and he is just scratching the surface of his creation ability
June 3, 2025 at 2:14 PM
Jalen Johnson is one of the best in the league at getting to the rim and finishing, a great rebounder, and a top tier passer for a player of his size. The shot needs to improve, but the Hawks should continue to put more of their offense on his plate next season.

This recognition is incredibly cool and well-deserved. Siakam has become an elite 3-level play finisher and took over the series when his team needed him.

Really surprised to see Labaron Philon returning - he is a high-level defender with a well-rounded offensive game - a profile proving vital to all contending NBA teams.

He was projected mid-first round and could have gone higher imo. Still, very excited to see him as a primary creator at Alabama.

I am a big fan of Adou Thiero - out of the mid-late 1st round wing prospects, he seems to be the best bet to me thanks to his explosiveness on both ends of the floor
May 28, 2025 at 7:45 PM
Jalen Williams has struggled to score at some points this postseason, especially the Nuggets series. But, his elite defense and high-level creation skills have not waivered with his poor shooting. If his scoring returns like it appeared to in G4, the Thunder are in great shape

OKC, for a team that hasn't been there before, has responded really well to adversity all postseason. It is really impressive to bounce back after the heartbreaking game 1 loss to Denver, or for a game 7 against former champs, or after 40 point loss to the twolves. There were questions about OKC,

Aaron Nesmith cannot miss and may never miss again. He is on absolute fire in the playoffs shooting a blistering 53.8% from 3
May 22, 2025 at 4:27 PM
It is so fun having a star like Haliburton see playoff success. His ability to create for his teammates via the pass is top 2 in the league, and his style of play permeates throughout his team making the Pacers offense the most fun unit to watch right now
May 22, 2025 at 4:06 PM
No one saw this coming from Randle - efficiency is way up across the board, assists are up, turnovers are down. What used to be a playoff disaster has turned into an absolute force for Minnesota
