ZOSAN COMIC 🧵
Someone asked about this comic and I remembered I still needed to post it here! Just a short one exploring how they figure out the differences between what frustrates them in their relationship. (1/5)
A simple black and white comic with thin lines and no grey tones featuring characters from One Piece. All panels throughout this thread are roughly the same width and height, though some are combined or split up. In the first of these two panels, Sanji is walking along a beach and smoothing down his hair, his simple suit and tie looking rumpled. He jabs his thumb over his shoulder at Brook, who is saluting, and Chopper, who looks indignant. Someone yells, "Oh, Sanji!! You're okay!!" Sanji: "Yeah, no thanks to THESE bozos." Chopper: "Hey, I helped!!" Brook: "I did not!" The next panel shows Luffy waving with a grin from the deck of the Thousand Sunny. Nami reads a map nearby while Zoro vaults over the railing back towards the beach with a serious expression. Luffy: "Haha, whatever!" Sanji (offscreen): "Don't 'whatever' me-" Luffy: "Did those illusions give you guys trouble too?" Nami: "Log pose is nearly- ... ?" Sanji has finished smoothing his hair and is fixing his tie. Zoro has landed on the beach and is stomping towards Sanji, who watches him with mild confusion. Sanji: "Yeah, that Devil Fruit user was a real piece of work... uh... Made Chopper think he'd lost his ability to talk to us, and made Brook think he was a ghost... And... uh... I saw old man Zeff and the guys from the Baratie... um... Being... held hostage- Marimo, it's me!!" As Zoro gets closer and Sanji can see that he looks angry, he whips one of his legs up ready to kick, his arms in front of him defensively. "Cool your jets!!" He continues, "Whatever I did to you was an illusion so don't make me really kick your ass-" Zoro reaches Sanji and he gives up on trying to reason with him, saying "Okay FINE but could you at least let me wash my face before we throw down-" But his assumption is interrupted when, instead of attacking him, Zoro grabs him into a tight hug, right arm behind his back, left arm over his shoulder, head buried into his neck. Sanji is wincing, still expecting a physical altercation, one finger extended asking for a time-out. Sanji pauses as he twigs to his current situation, his arms and leg drooping but not fully dropping, regarding Zoro's face in his periphery (who has not let him go) with wide eyes. Brook ushers Chopper away towards the Sunny with a pleasant smile, saying "We'll m eet you later at the ship." Sanji, still being held tightly by Zoro, falters, unsure whether to hold him back, but simply says "Bwuh... Oh... kay." Sanji leads Zoro into the densely forested area just inland from the beach, the two of them silhouetted between the thick trees. Sanji's cutout appears to be struggling while Zoro's still has not let him go, now hanging around his waist. Sanji: "Marimo... Let go already, we're alone now- Marimo! Shit-for-brains... World's worst swordsman- Zoro!! C'mon...!"

the first two panels of a black and white comic, in the first panel Sanji and Zoro sit side by side on the ground, looking away from each other, Sanji visibly distressed, crying, and tugging at his hair with a lit cigarette in his hand, and Zoro looking more pensive. In the second panel Zoro reaches over and takes the cigarette, while an annoyed Sanji looks up and says "wh- Oi!" The next four panels: in panel one Zoro snuffs the cigarette on the wall as he grabs Sanji's arm and begins dragging him towards him, muttering "c'mere", Sanji says "what the fuck're y-". In panel two Sanji is halfway in Zoro's lap but struggling, pushing away zoro's face with his hand. Zoro says "Stop. Struggling." and Sanji replies "NO!". In panel three Sanji is further in Zoro's lap but the struggling continues, elbowing Zoro in the chin while he tries to grapple Sanji more firmly, both looking aggravated. Zoro says "We are a couple. Couples do this." and Sanji replies "I'll shove a couple up your ass". In the fourth panel Zoro successfully grapples Sanji the rest of the way, arms firmly wrapped around his chest, saying "That doesn't even make SENSE". The next four panels: Panel one is a beat panel showing Sanji sitting awkwardly in Zoro's lap, while Zoro traps him there with arms wrapped around his back and his chin on top of Sanji's head. They both look annoyed. In panel two Sanji looks angrily up at Zoro and says "I fucking hate you" while Zoro calmly replies "I love you". In panel three Sanji burrows into Zoro's chest, gripping at his shirt, looking angry but with new tears on his face. In panel four Sanji puts his hand over his face and says in a shaky voice "That's not fair". Zoro kissed the side of his head and says "Tough Shit" The final panel, Sanji is now openly sobbing with his face buried in Zoro's shoulder, pulling hard at Zoro's shirt, while Zoro holds him tight, his eyes closed and eyebrows furrowed.

The first four panels of a black and white comic, Sanji is clearly drunk, sitting at a table, and gesticulating wildly throughout. In Panel one he cuddles his drink and says "But the thing is, listen, the thing is, he actually IS so cool and brave (even though I pretend he's not) and he makes me feel more brave just being near him...". In panel two he leans back dramatically with his hand over his face and says "And he's also so handsome and I wanna LICK him sometimes". In the third panel he pushes back from the table and says "But he has noooooo idea, and he CAN'T know!". in the last panel he glares at the people on the other side of the table and points down for emphasis, saying "So you guys have to promise not to tell him, okay???" The next four panels: The first two are nearly identical beat panels of Nami and Usopp facing sanji, first looking straight at him then looking over to their right at another unseen spot at the table. The third panel is another beat panel, this time of Sanji staring confused at Nami and Usopp. In the final panel Sanji looks to his left, revealing that Zoro has been sitting right next to him the whole time, not looking at him and calmly drinking from a bottle. the next panel: Sanji, seemingly too drunk to understand that Zoro must have just heard all of that, asks "You don't know, right?". Zoro, humoring him, glances over and with a straight face says "Not a clue". Zoro is blushing slightly. Two additional illustrations. In the first one Zoro is carrying a very drunk Sanji over his shoulder, Sanji says "Zroooo.... Zoooroooo.... I think the bartender put something in my drink" To which Zoro replies "He did. It was alcohol." In the second illustration Zoro is now carrying Sanji bridal style while Sanji aggressively grabs his head and kisses his cheek. There is a cloud of hearts above the kiss.

just heard a video essayist say that sanji communicates with zoro mainly through insults and picking fights...... which is the same way he communicates with zeff aka the person he probably trusts and cares for the most........ sigh
