I am trying to stay positive and hope that our country will endure and survive. But there are times when I become increasingly worried this is the end of our grand experiment. It's okay to feel and acknowledge those dark thoughts, just don't let it make you give up the fight.

So... does the GOP want us to be like Europe? Their whole "everything should be up to the states" kick feels like they want us to be 50 separate states who just happen to use the same money. And maybe military. It's just weird

Imagine where the country would be if the Dems got behind candidates actually willing to fight with passion and facts. Look for that quality in your candidates moving forward and we really will be back on the road to greatness.

The problem with money in politics is it isn't just campaign donations during election years. It's the shady legality of stock trading. The attention of lobbyists. The donation call center they spend their time in instead of doing their jobs. It's a massive monster that needs to be thoroughly slain.

It's going to be exhausting, but there is no other alternative for the next four years. Eyes and ears open, don't be fooled by distractions, stay informed and keep being vocal. There are many fights we can choose to avoid or ignore, but this isn't one of them.
