Mbeumo and Cunha looked good today. I actually enjoyed the game, save for the 13th minute of the match. Also, hard to explain how one can be encouraged by 1-0 loss, but I am. Baby steps, but were headed in the right direction.

Finally watched F1 The Movie. Was very underwhelmed. There are better ways to kill two and a half hours in the summer.

Now that Bryan Mbeumo and Mateus Cunha are on, let's see how they do. I hope they perform as expected 🤞🏻

La Paz, BCS, MX, ready or not, here I come. My time stateside is coming to an end. It was an interesting ride, but things changed, and not in a good way. It'll take a year or two but, "alea iacta est".

Lionesses got the job done today, in a "proper English" way. Congrats! Very exciting game. Maybe too exciting, but job done. Next, final.

If the French Open final a month ago is an indication of what's in store for the world of tennis, tomorrow will be absolutely epic. Can't wait.

Remembering Pedro Rodríguez, known for his eccentricities such as his deerstalker hat and Tabasco sauce, died #OnThisDay July 11 in Germany. Rodríguez had become a loved F1 and sports car driver, but in 1971, he accepted an offer to race in a minor Interseries event in Germany.

Oh, boy. MAGAts have been triggered by the new Superman movie. Fuck 'em. I will watch it multiple times. Box office sales will exceed all expectations. It will be another very successful form of protest against the orange orangutan and his trumpalumps.

I retract and sincerely apologize for my hate for the F1 Movie. My bad. I'll watch as soon as I am able.

Just read about Martin Donnelly's contribution to Brad Pitt's F1 Movie. I remember seeing Martin's broken body laying on the tarmac at the 1990 Spanish GP at Jerez after his massive shunt during practice, with Prof Syd Watkins rushing to his side doing all he could to keep Martin alive.

I think Rafael Leão to MUFC would be cool. I would prefer him to Mbeumo, but that's me.

I've been following F1 since the sixties (my first race was the 1967 Mexican GP). I have no desire to watch Brad Pitt's F1 movie.

I picked up Calum Nicholas' "Life in the Pitlane" at the incredible indie bookstore, Bay Books, in Coronado, CA. Am half-way through it. It's ok. A bit sentimental, really. Some readers, who may be new to F1, may find some of it of interest.
