For me this is sensible business, hearts know what he is worth but also know he won't realistically be offered a better contract elsewhere!!
Lawrence Shankland could remain at Hearts with a new contract set to be on the table.

I didn't see Critchley as the right appointment at the time and although my opinion was changed slightly by the up turn in form I am once again not sure he is the right man!
His inability to notice obvious issues and make changes to fix them really annoys me.

Rowles has his flaws but I think 600k is extremely cheap for someone who still has 3 years left. Unless we have someone lined up who is an improvement I would have waited till the end of the season!
