Husband, Dad, Mayor of Gainesville, Gator. Standing guard, keeping the flame, keeping the faith.
You want a non-partisan statement? I stand with this one from the US Conference of Mayors as well.

I stand with Mayor Jacob Frey and the Democratic Mayors Association.

Just data, no judgement. I’ve tracked the same seven grocery items at the same store nearly every week for a year. As of yesterday, 1/23/26, it would have cost 2.74% more to buy this basket of groceries than it did the week the current president was sworn-in.

As of this posting, none of the first 11 headlines in my NYT feed includes the T word.

It is a glorious afternoon to be alive.

The polling represented here was completed before ICE abducted a five-year-old child. I don’t imagine the 61% figure would be lower today. This foolishness must end.

This has been a spectacularly stupid day in American economic history.

You know who doesn’t wear masks? Your local police. You know, actual law enforcement officers.

If you were a former KGB agent trying to functionally ruin the US, what would you do differently than what is currently happening?

This Greenland thing is not in the best interests of the American people.

That ought to be obvious, but here we are.

In July of 2024 Kevin Roberts at the Heritage Foundation (Project 2025) said, on Steve Bannon’s podcast, that the “Second American Revolution” was in process and that it would be bloodless “If the left allows it to be.”

And America responded, “Yeah, but Joe Biden is old and Harris laughs too loud.”

I’m not saying the current administration is filled with Russian agents. I’m asking how much different the actions of the administration would be if it WERE filled with Russian agents. I don’t think there’s a lot of daylight between the two.

Remember when we invaded Venezuela to stop the flow of fentanyl?

And through it all, Dubya remained silent.

Hey, TV news producers:

Nobody elected Miller.

You don’t owe him screen time.

But when you give it to him, you lose me as a viewer.

You DO owe your advertisers viewership.

Consider carefully.

I watched the video.

You should watch the video.

Download it before it disappears.

The image I choose to remember from January 6, 2021 is this one of Andy Kim, then a sitting member of the US House and now a US Senator, doing the literal work of cleaning up after a violent, but failed, coup.

This is what leadership and patriotism look like in the real world.

When we invade a country and the president - any president - tells you it won’t cost us anything you should hold on to your wallet tightly.

The War Powers Act and the AUMF have been, generally speaking, failures at keeping presidents from making durable war.

What is a better system?

The imperial presidency is bad, but hard to rein-in. My team likes the part of it that makes building things and systems possible. The other team likes the part that makes breaking stuff possible. Neither team wants to give up their part in exchange for long, drawn-out legislative processes.

Many things can be, and are, true at once.

-Maduro is a bad man.
-Many good Americans welcome this action for that reason.
-There are long-term consequences for invading a sovereign nation.
-Access to oil/resource profits are why we took did this.
-This provides intra-party political cover.

Lowering a price by 100% makes it free. Lowering it by more than 100% means you are paying the customer to take it off your hands.

Or you are really bad at bidness math.

Which would explain that whole bankrupt casinos thing.
