1892 OKC Central Fire Station.

On the windows you can read Chief’s Office and the uppermost level is Beacon Room. Zoom in on the details. The flag on the tower. This is perfect!

My favorite photos are of the earliest fire and police departments in Indian Territory and early Oklahoma statehood.

1890 Muskogee. This was criminals that had been rounded up in Indian Territory and were being shipped to Leavenworth.

Indigenous Peoples’ Day

There are many small Indian cemeteries scattered throughout Oklahoma. Especially in the Watonga-Canton area. This stone was in a small cemetery near Greenfield. There are many Indian stones and this was one of my favorites.
