A M7.0 earthquake occurred today off the coast of Cape Mendocino about 100 km southwest of Ferndale, California. This is in the vicinity of the Mendocino triple junction, which is where the Pacific, North America, and Juan de Fuca/Gorda plates meet.

This is one of the best things we've built into our app. It allows us to rapidly test and iterate on new features, often with no impact on service and external users. And we have at least a dozen different experiments in progress at any given time.

Working on a brand new feature at work, and it's giving me strong greenfield project vibes. A rare feeling when working on a fairly mature (~4 years old) codebase as ours.

Deployment velocity/flexibility is such a super power to have as a small team in tech. It's one of the key differences between my current startup and my old gig at Google. I often think about this -- usually as I'm about to submit the 3rd or even 4th prod deploy of the day.
