Newcastle lost, Bournemouth lost. I looked at the table before the game and a win would launch us straight back into the 4/5th fight. So so frustrating.

Jesus we don’t half turn in some stinking performances at times. Shocking offside call but we could still be playing now and I don’t think we would have scored. I watched most of the second half in fast forward and we still looked slow and uninspiring.

Well that was a hard watch again. First 15 mins it looked like we were really up for it but then we regressed back into our slow, ponderous and sloppy play that seems to be a theme of recent months. West Ham were possibly there for the taking if we had continued going at them. Onto Celtic then… #UTV

Even my “lucky” Villa tracksuit bottoms didn’t have the power to get us a win tonight. Obviously not the trousers fault, they’ll be back on at the weekend to set things right. #UTV

My first game back at VP since we beat Bologna 2-0. It was freezing cold and a pretty awful game but we got the three points. Let’s hope we can push on into 2025 and pick up some form! #UTV

Up the Villa! First half we were great, the front three looked so much more dangerous than they have recently. Mings was a rock at the back, so good to have some physical presence in there. Kamara doing what he does, mopping up in front. Second half a bit nervy but we saw it out! #AVFC
