I genuinely cannot differentiate anything above 70 and i do this for a living. There are clear advantages to higher framerates in games and in VR, but it makes 0 fucking difference in terms of fludity to me.

High refresh rates are a scourge. You're at 60fps, having a great time. You see a 120hz screen, now you're ruined on 60. You glimpse 165, now 120 is trash. Some guy tries to show you 240, you shut your eyes, you don't open them til he's dead. You've killed a man now and for what

Microsoft’s AI strategy is one of the most deranged, confused product strategies in history, shoving OpenAI’s chatbots into every crevice imaginable for a most-unclear gain, burning hundreds of millions if not billions of dollars training models that nobody likes and custom silicon for inference for services that nobody uses. They hire random managerial types from other companies in the hopes that a guy who failed in his last role will succeed at Microsoft, they create new AI teams in the hopes that having a new team will fix a problem it is unable to truly describe. In reality, Microsoft’s leadership likely realizes that AI is a dead end, but the only thing Microsoft knows how to do is spend, fire and hire. It is terrible at innovation, so it will hire people and let them spend money on what it believes will work, even if it isn’t sure why. Once that fails, it will repeat the cycle again and again with more money. This has always worked, other than the times that it hasn’t. Turning this cadillac-sized company around is going to be a nightmare Its largest customer is OpenAI, which lost at least $9 billion in 2025 and will run out of money in the next two years whether it raises a $100 billion round or not, and no, I don’t mean the $100 billion NVIDIA deal I said was bullshit months ago, I mean the new $100 billion round that NVIDIA might invest $20 billion in. Microsoft has spent north of $200 billion building one of the most embarrassingly-weak business lines I’ve seen in history. Satya Nadella stinks at his job and should be ashamed for the dishonour he’s brought upon Redmond, especially for making bumbling failmasters like Mustafa Suleyman and Jay Parikh rich multiple times over. Nadella deserves every moment of humiliation that’s to come for what he’s put his employees through. From the people I’ve talked to, everything at Microsoft runs through a crazed, histrionic obsession with AI, pushed entirely from the SLT (Senior Leadership Team), with the only way…
