Aurora caused by same solar storm that disrupted shortwave reception this past week seen at Albemarle County, Virginia, November 11. An aurora, mostly bright red with some green near the horizon, is visible behind two buildings.

The most distant reception of my #hamradio #WSPR signal I've noticed: transmitted from Oakland CA USA, it was heard 2025-10-26T01:22Z near Windhoek, Namibia, 15,815km away. (Receptions by station DP0GVN in Antarctica, 14,811km away, are more common.)
