Highgate Society is a civic organisation that aims to make Highgate Society a better place to live and work. With our 1400 members and 170 active volunteers, we run a large number of activities and groups to achieve our aim. See https://highgatesociety.com
Our litter pick today was in the area of The Park. We had a huge haul, gas canisters, a battery, a golf club as well as the usual rubbish. Our team does a fantastic job. Thank you to the team and all the volunteers who have contributed throughout the year.

The Community Projects group was really pleased to be able to restock and tidy up all of the planters in old 271 space. We put some bulbs in as well, and hope by next summer the planters will be a riot of colour. Thank you our project sponsors Farrans (www.farrans.com) and Fado (fado.co.uk).

The Community Projects team had a great tidy up event around the centre of Highgate this weekend. Quite a lot of low level rubbish such as these cigarette ends. These and other debris like plastics can be washed through the drainage system and eventually out to sea.
