You know it's amazing: I have a bedroom that I converted to a studio — I call it Marilyn Monroe Studios — and after one year, computers and new devices, I make a whole album right there, next door, and send it out to the whole world. It's amazing.

The band were on a Neil Young - Brownhorse - Van Halen listening binge when they pieced it together, but, safe for the quiet intensity, none of that spilled over to the finished track. It does not rock as such, but can't be stopped either.

81 Bedford St. does not really need the visuals. This album can conjure up a flurry of images in the listener's mind's eye that will be extremely costly to capture on film. It is a trip for the ears, a maze to wander around in and feel lost in a good way.

It is a gnarly track, with the three-part harmonies floating above it, with just the right of echo - a thing that is implied by the song's title ("ruimte" in Dutch, "space" in English).
