One of my earliest moments of radicalization was in 2005 when Larry Summers said that women biologically have less aptitude for science than men. Following that, scores of equally unimpressive people wrote pieces trying to explain or justify his remarks, when they should have called for his removal.

This. And we are not screaming this loudly enough.
Can we just take a minute and acknowledge that our POTUS is right OUT IN THE OPEN lobbying Congressional members to vote against releasing the Epstein files?! Like... what the fuck else does anyone even need to know?

My takeaway from every new Epstein revelation is that some powerful people victimized many powerless young women, many more knew, some actively enabled it--and we're still being told that MeToo and accountability for sexual violence have gone too far

If you’re wondering, this is exactly how we federal workers feel

We’ve been fighting for this country since Jan 20th. Leadership needs to fight too

"We went into this shutdown knowing we would suffer but it would be worth it for the country. This deal is a slap in the face to every federal worker"

The cave caucus COULD say "we'll get people fed and paid through the holidays, give the American people the gift of the Epstein files, and take up the fight in the new year" but they're saying "we had a generational electoral victory and nothing we were doing was working so we quit"

Last time in the hospital, total bill was $177,000. Without insurance, I would be bankrupt. $2,000 wouldn't pay for one day's care. He's an idiot.

Universal healthcare -like every other developed nation has - is the only answer. ACA was a compromise. It’s not working. We’re wasting time money energy stress and bankruptcy on this.

Universal healthcare is the only answer. That’s damn clear.

Powerball jackpot tonight is 467,000,000.

So to get to a trillion, I’d only have to win a jackpot like tonight’s … 2,141 times.

To put it another way, I’d have to win the lottery, once a week, every week, for …

41 years

Hot streaks like that? Very rare. Have to be quite lucky. Fingers crossed.

And now, if you read the devastating piece about what Venezuelan deportees endured at the El Salvador torture prison, read what incarcerated U.S. citizens endure in Alabama prisons.

State prisons in the U.S. that are massive systems of human rights violations.

I dunno which old healthcare industry vulture needs to hear this, but don't lock your knees when you have to stand for a while. Your blood pressure might drop and cause you to pass out and annoy an old man with dementia
