The summer exhibition at bmb will open soon (May 31 - 4 p.m.)! It is a beautiful space and I am very curious to see how our artworks will come together there. And, what is also nice, I have made a number of new artworks that I will show there for the first time (see photo: 'be still my soul XIV').

Today we set up the Artinfected stand (no. 16) at the KunstRAI. Quite a job, but it turned out great! Tomorrow is the opening and from Thursday 11 am everyone can visit! Welcome!

This afternoon I reframed my drawings (nice with museum glass, especially for the KunstRai) and packed them! But pffff what a job that is! Glad it's done!

Yay! Done! I thought I had finished it last Friday. But a work of art always has to sink in before you can say that for sure. And yes, I did still tinker with it quite a bit after Friday!

Yesterday evening I tested the light in the bridge keeper's house. And it turned out really cool! Today I still have to place the surprise (the finishing touch) and then I'm completely ready for the opening tomorrow at 8 pm! Welcome!!

I am already collecting some work and stuff to take with me to the Brugwachtershuisje in Gouda (corner of Oude Vest and Kleiwegbrug) next week. I am going to make an installation there/on with my yellow animals, with the title: 'brave enough'. Friday evening March 21st at 8 pm is the opening!

I am already collecting some work and stuff to take with me to the Brugwachtershuisje in Gouda (corner of Oude Vest and Kleiwegbrug) next week. I am going to make an installation there/on with my yellow animals, with the title: 'brave enough'. Friday evening March 21st at 8 pm is the opening!
After much deliberation I have decided to order frames with museum glass for my drawings. Quite an investment, but I think it is worth it! So, all the work is now neatly waiting for its new coat!

I had a great time working on this drawing: 'I have tried them all' (17.5x13.5 cm). It is still stretched, but I always want to look at it for a while to make sure it is right, before I take it loose.

And this one is also ready: ‘take a look inside’ (14x12x7 cm). I am really grateful for how hard and how well I was able to work this week (knowing that this is not always the case!). And now I’m leaving the studio behind for a while and going to do something fun with my boys!

Last week I also worked on these 2 yellow animals. Together with all the yellow animals that I already have (and exhibited in the Natural History Museum in R’dam), they will play a nice role in the installation that I will make for the Bridge Keeper’s House in Gouda. Can be seen from March 21!
