It is great to see people use their platforms for good, and offer their time and dollars to support those most impacted by ICE occupation. Happy that @VEAPVolunteers and community members at risk in my district will benefit from this generous 250k.

We are ensuring at Hennepin that our front door remains wide open, accessible, & dynamic throughout a surge of federal immigration enforcement. We are here to support everyone in their preferred language to bring essential, safety net services directly to community.

This is a victory that was won by peaceful protest and through standing with our immigrant neighbors and brave constitutional observers—but we know there is much more work to be done to bring relief. We won't let up until ICE is out of Hennepin County.

Please utilize these resources as we navigate not only the trauma from enhanced violence at the hands of the federal government, but the real fear and anxiety that is keeping people from seeking services.

ICE has murdered another Minneapolis resident in the heart of Whittier Neighborhood. This is antagonization for its own sake by a poorly trained, rouge agency. How many more innocent lives will be lost before federal leaders wake up? ICE must leave the metro to end this bloodshed.

Mayors in my district know their cities best. ICE is eroding trust, tearing families apart, & using unconstitutional tactics. As federal leaders use us as a backdrop to talk about law & order, mayors are clear—follow the law. I thank them for their service.

Bracing for an additional 1,000 officers to be sent to the metro. This means more ICE agents than MPLS police, St. Paul police, Ramsey, and Hennepin Sheriffs combined. Let's be clear. This is not about public safety — this is retribution against perceived political opponents.
