2025 has been an intense and in part rough year. Time to let body and soul heal and recover. Found a wonderful place overlooking Costa Adeje on the lovely island Tenerife (www.oceanviewmontesol.com). Spectacular view – plenty activities – great new ideas - feels like rejuvenation - check it out!

Following our epigenetic placental vasculature paper in Dev Cell (www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...), the second chapter of our vascular epigenetic trilogy was now published in @narjournal.bsky.social (academic.oup.com/nar/article/...): DNMT3A regulation of EC enhancer landscape. More to come!

Another hyped study published in Nature Medicine claiming to have developed a predictive test for the identification of women at risk of developing preeclampsia. Sobering: The predictive value is no better than the cheap routine measurement of sICAM-1 and sVCAM-1 reported more than 20 years ago.

Gratifying to now see our pericrine liver signaling work in the print version of @Nature.com (www.nature.com/articles/s41...). Massive piece of work with 651 display items (174 main, 477 supplement). Feels like we are publishing books and not papers. Thanks to Robert Schwabe for great collaboration!
