Happy to see Demonschool getting a healthy reaction in reviews this week.

Lots of 8s and 9s. Plenty of 6s too. It shows that the game isn’t built for everyone, and for those who connect with it, they really found something special.

Thanks to the folks over at @sifterhq.bsky.social for taking the time to speak with us at TGS this year. We have spent the last few years making a tight, reactive, physics game that is unlike anything else you have played. We can't wait to get it into your hands.

Jake Kazdal, CEO and Creative Director of 17 BIT, the studio behind loose physics-based game Awaysis, thinks game developers are stuck trying to emulate frame-perfect strikes and motion instead of pushing in-game physics to more interesting spaces.

Absolutely chuffed that we are part of the next Day of the Devs. It’s been my favourite showcase for a very long time, and I’m so excited to have something that I’m working on take part.
We are so stoked to announce that we are part of Day of the Devs - The Game Awards Digital Showcase next month.

Honored, and ready to show you all what we have been cooking over here 🧑‍🍳

A great read that points out the failings that I’ve seen at many studios time and time again. Fully agree that leads should read this. It a great reminder to look at company culture and processes to solve problems.

The team worked incredibly hard to make this trailer happen, and I think it’s a much better representation of our game than our launch trailer.

If you love #indiedev or #gaming please give us a Wishlist. I really helps!

I have wanted to play this game for YEARS, ever since we first saw it while I was working at @fellowtraveller.games. Very excited!

This basically sums up my day to day. Game dev is fun and has no stressful moments at all.
I think that long sigh sums up #indiedev in a definitive moment. Playtesting is fun, right folks?

Alright #gamedev / #indiedev friends using JIRA - what are your go to plugins to simplify things? We have some technically minded folks using our tools, but I want to make it easier and more visual for others who don't vibe with it.

Spinning one of Australia’s finest this morning. I love all of RBCF’s albums, but this one just has a collection of great indie moments.

The French Press EP is still better though.

OK #indiedev who also are social media managers - what is your scheduling tool of choice?

Thanks @yozetty.bsky.social! Now every time I listen to the new AFI album I just hear you screeching "HOLY VIIISIONS" and it makes me laugh.

Spinning some zen this morning. Nujabes has been a part of my soul for a very long time now. Every album is a banger, and I wish I had the chance to see the master at work.

Look, I'd be lying if I said this is why we don't let @allymobbs.bsky.social in the level reviews anymore.
Sometimes we ask @jkooza.bsky.social & @allymobbs.bsky.social to do level testing. Somehow they always get stuck fighting ⚔️

@frankhowley.bsky.social hey! How do I get some info about our studio and game over to you folks at NoClip 2? Would love to catch you next time you're in Japan.

Also, you gotta show me where the good wrestling is in Kyoto. I just moved here from Tokyo so still getting the lay of the land.

Great mention from @pcgamer.com

"I was impressed when I saw Awaysis' physics-based slide jumps and enemy-propelling magic projectiles, but I was elated when I saw one player seemingly brush their co-op partner off a ledge and into an endless abyss by accident."

We call it co-opertition. #indiedev
I'm convinced dungeon crawlers have always needed skiing physics after Awaysis' newest trailer
Somewhere between classic Zelda and Human Fall Flat, you'll find self-billed "dungeon brawler" Awaysis.

It’s chaotic, but I’ve never felt so connected to a team I’ve worked with. Koichi is right - badass team!
We asked the team to describe 17-BIT in a single sentence. It may be chaotic, but at the end of the day we have the most badass team around!
