Biweekly check-in with @sabrineamro.bsky.social my Tin House nonfiction cohort buddy. We’re figuring it out together—where we’re at, where we’re headed. Showing up. Talking life, writing, all the stuff in between. These meetings help adjust my compass. Thank you Sabrine 🤍

Got to read your poem in this, I felt it!! So relatable to today
People say keep sharing the pub news, even though the world is broken. So here is a new anthology of poetry about our broken world, beautifully edited, where a poem of mine sits alongside poets who lit the way for me.

Such a gorgeous poem! Thank you Mai-Linh
I have a new poem out in the wild(ness). Times are so hard that this feels small. But poetry has reminded me daily we can still think and create freely. I love this journal's sense of beauty and wonder and am delighted that "Field Trip" found a home there: readwildness.com/37/

Happy Mexica (Aztec) New Year 🪶

The Aztec Empire wasn’t ‘ancient’—it thrived while Da Vinci painted The Last Supper. Tenochtitlán, larger than London, had running water before Madrid and a complex infrastructure that rivaled the most advanced cities of its time. Calling it ancient is a Eurocentric and colonized narrative.
