Finally made it to the very end of the Worcester & Birmingham Canal where it meets the River Severn with John. In October 2024 we couldn't get to lock 1 as the river was so flooded!
Then to Hanbury Hall to see the house, gardens and grounds. Finished the day with tea and a scone in the café!

Had a lovely time exploring Great Malvern town walk with John. Lots of really interesting buildings and the history of the Victorian water cures and Elgar. We tried the water - very clear and fresh, marvelled at the lit gas lamps, found a Victorian post box and went in the church.

Fab morning at Queenswood Country Park parkrun with John recompleting the West Midlands region again. Lovely twisty two lap route through the trees with a steep climb (twice) up 'Cruella the Hill'. Had breakfast in the café. The loo seats are a sight to behold! Many thanks to all today's volunteers.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all the Agatha Christie stories of #ReadChristie2025. I’ve read along each month and managed versions in books, films, TV, audio books, radio adaptations & a play script. Looking forward to #ReadChristie2026 now.

I've not made many jellies but this worked out perfectly! Deliciously refreshing & had a bit of a fizz.
Need to work on my 'turning out' skills as it only just made it on to the plate!

I've read along with Agatha Christie’s #ReadChristie2025 for December & managed 4 versions of The Sittaford Mystery: the book in Agatha Christie 1930s Omnibus, the DVD in ITV’s Marple Series 2, BBC Radio 4's full cast adaptation & the audio book read by Hugh Fraser.
Had a great walk on the Trent & Mersey Canal from Etruria Junction to Church Lawton with John. Lots of interest on the way - south & north ends of the Harecastle tunnel, Hardingswood junction with the Macclesfield Canal & lots of locks.
