Discovered from @profaliceroberts.bsky.social Ancient Greece by Train series that Philip 2nd of Macedon named the city of Thessaloniki after his daughter and now Thessalonica is my new favourite girl's name. it's probably for the best that I'm not having any more kids.

I just made an AI generated curry. Couldn't be bothered to trawl through Google search to find a recipe with the ingredients I had in that was healthy and fairly quick, so I asked Chat GPT and it turned out really well! I'd post a photo but we ate it.

Had a couple of conversations this week with different people about widespread loneliness is now for many and how it's especially easy to lose your social circle as a mid-life woman. This year I'll resist the 'I'm too busy' thing even harder as it's so easy to slip into.

Watching the news on the hate speech policy changes at Meta and wondering if there will be a bunch of people jumping over to BlueSky and Mastodon as they did with X. Some went to Threads last time, but that's Meta too so let's wait and see.

Like a lot of people I was worried about losing the community I was part of when I left Twitter (and I 90%left Facebook too, just staying for a few group). But the great thing is I found the same people on Threads and Bluesky, plus new ones.../1

I was an IT trainer from 1997 so although it seems weird now I actually trained people how to use Google when it was new. It's been such a part of my life since then that it also felt weird to now be looking at alternatives, but I played around with the AI search engine Perplexity last week...1/
