On this huge Carpenter binge and mentioned that The Thing would be an interesting movie if the entity had met a woman first. Well, John Carpenter made that film 🤣

I got kicked off after calling Elon some choice words. So much for free speech absolutism 🤣

Should join the discord, I got someone to send me a sign even though I am in district 8. Lot of district 9 traffic here.

Same. I was suicidal and in my 20s. MST was literally one of the only things I looked forward to

You know what will never not be amusing to me, the fact that Sam Waterston's kid is in Dead Poet's Society looking precisely like Sam Waterston's kid

November 24, 2025 at 11:29 PM

Their sfx budget was nothing, too. Amazing what one can do with corn syrup and a vision

Sorry that screenshot in this context is cracking me up, poor E.T. My memories from back then are vague to say the least but I do recall it was the first time that everyone's mom actually went to a movie. E.T was fire

old photoshop-drawn digital art piece I consider worth sharing

drawing digitally does not mean bad art. it is all some can afford
November 23, 2025 at 10:11 PM
Can you imagine a life in which everyone worked because they loved their job, everyone read books because they were interested in them, people went to movies cause ya know, ppl went to movies to form opinions on them?

Oh no that would be way worse than hyperbolic outrage media 24/7
November 23, 2025 at 9:59 PM
And that ending! Not a gotcha ending, but 30 minutes later after the movie in the car you are like wait...

Also watching some movie from the 80s that is less racist than movies from now is like whoa
November 23, 2025 at 8:24 PM
Actually no not going to leave it there, this is really amazing as the orange in the background is the color the eye should see first, and yet in your painting the white of the cows coming forward and the movement is what you see first. Don't know how you did it. Brushstrokes and talent.

I'm no horror slouch, and I definitely think that John Carpenter's The Thing is one of the top five horror films ever based off one of the top five horror short stories ever. Nah top three. Top one.

For real though
